MY INTERESTS

TENNIS

A competitive person at heart, I love the head-to-head nature of this game. Tennis is a sport that requires discipline, pressure management, and focus. I'd say it is one of the hardest sports to pick up, and even if you begin to master it, you still have to play frequently to retain your "feel."

I have been playing tennis since 2nd grade. Throughout the years, I played in competitive tournaments, school and club teams. This is a life-long passion and I love to share my training and thoughts!

MUSIC

Music has always been an integral part of my identity. In middle school, I used to play trombone and euphonium, though I didn't really enjoy either of the two. But I did find my solace in guitar, drum, and singing.

I've been playing guitar and drum for about 8 years now. Aside from taking lessons, I also create original songs and engineer music through FL Studio.

I am quite a shy person, so singing was not really on my radar, at least not until college. I discovered this passion in my freshman year and I now sing in the Harvard Noteables and the Harvard Fusian. Performing on stage is a chance to express my creativity and a great training ground for public speaking and conquering my stage fright.

FUN FACTS

I have some hidden talents, which will no longer be secretive after this disclosure.

1) I can eat shrimps and crabs without using my hands. All I need is a pair of chopsticks and my mouth and I can extract the meat spotlessly.

2) I am a very fast and accurate typist. My dexterity is backed up by numbers. Given a one minute type test with medium level words, and average over 10 rounds, I can type over 90 words easily and occasionally breaking into the 100wpm mark.

3) I can drive manual transmission vehicles well. In fact, I did my driver test in a manual car. This would probably be very handy if I encounter car theft in America.
